I worked with a parent once who was getting abusive and frustrated with a teacher. It wasn’t the parent’s fault. The School was giving her the run-around. And because she didn’t understand the system, she was getting nowhere fast. It was affecting the student-teacher relationship. I intervened on the parent’s behalf as her parent-teacher advocate and the matter was cleared up.

If you need help communicating with teachers, I can do the following:

• Speak to the teacher on your behalf
• Attend meetings with you
• Provide the knowledge and the language to be able to speak to your child’s school and get the desired outcomes
